Same design as above, Ted Moores’ Rob Roy, a reclaimed wine vat redwood stripper trimmed out with long decks. Built by Valerie ( your usually friendly Pittsford Lumber counter helper, site webmistress and canoe tripping enthusiast). This Rob Roy is a great solo boat, 18 years old, and I am thinking of ways to turn her into a lightweight fully decked sailing/ tripping canoe, much like MacGregor’s original Rob Roy, below. Then, of course, in the spirit of MacGregor, there is the epic journey to consider.....
One more of the same Ted Moore design, the Rob Roy. Built by Mike Heberger, this cedar stripper has a very nice seminole patchwork style inlay detail. In the winter Mike works hard trying to popularize a version of canoe sledding he has invented....
